MOT – Harford, Llanwrda

As motorists, we often complain about the need to get an MOT done on our vehicles, but in reality, we should all appreciate that this really is a worthwhile obligation.

It means that every vehicle on the road should be in a safe, roadworthy condition and not polluting the environment around us with harmful emissions. Derwen Garage is a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) approved MOT testing station capable of carrying out Class 1, 2, 4, & 7 MOT tests at our workshop on the Ceredigion-Carmarthenshire border.

Naturally, we are regulated, but we are also extremely customer-focused, and our aim is to offer sound advice as well as a high standard of service quality. We will be pleased to carry out a pre-MOT inspection and undertake any preparation work should your vehicle show any signs it might fail the test. And in cases where pre-inspections are not requested, we are able to provide a full range of competitively priced post-test repair services to ensure your vehicle passes its MOT re-test and gets you legally back on the road.

Had my motorbike MOT here this morning and it was an excellent service from booking the appointment to riding away. I arrived early but luckily there was no one ahead of me so they just got straight on with the job. The waiting area is big enough and very clean and tidy with a couple of chairs. There are garden benches outside for better weather and a fantastic view to enjoy while you're waiting. And it passed 😁

We take both our cars and my lovely 33 year old Dub campervan for services, MOTs and sundry repairs at Derwen. When we still had motorbikes, they were both MOTd there too.

Ann is a diamond and so accomodating if we need anything doing post-haste. Service is great, prices are great, staff are great - what's not to like. Diolch yn fawr 🙂

Very clean , tidy & organised .
Called in recently for a motorcycle MOT - staff friendly & knowledgeable .
Great workshop facilities & a nice view to look at while you wait !
